The Appointment I've Been Avoiding Thinking About
Thoughts before my psychiatrist appointment.
The Appointment I’ve Been Avoiding Thinking About
I opened my calendar this morning and saw it. Psychiatrist check-in at 2pm.
I knew immediately what he was going to ask me. He always starts the same way.
“How are you feeling, Lindsey?”
Usually I have my answer ready. Work stress. The pressure of keeping 30 people employed. The constant weight of being responsible for everything. Those answers are easy because they’re tangible. There’s a problem, there’s a solution, we execute. Done.
But today I’m going to have to tell him something different. Something I’ve been avoiding saying out loud because once you say it, it becomes real.
